Taylor Swift has made history once more — this time at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. The pop superstar nabbed seven wins at the 2026 ceremony, making history as the most awarded artist in one night.
The singer-songwriter accepted the award for Pop Album of the Year onstage for her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. In that speech, she shouted out fiancé Travis Kelce, who attended the ceremony with her. “This album probably also feels very happy and confident and free, because that’s the way that I get to feel every single day of my life, because of my fiancé, who’s here,” she said, adding, “Thanks for all the vibes.”
Later in the night, Swift took home one of the biggest awards of the year, Artist of the Year, which was presented to her by Olympic gold medalist and figure skater Alysa Liu. “I just want to say to receive this award from Alysa, who brought me and everyone else so much happiness with your performances. I was so inspired by how much diligence, work, effort, and love you have for what you do,” she told the 2026 Winter Olympic champion.
The superstar went on to deliver a heartfelt acceptance speech, reflecting on her 20-year career trajectory. “I love writing songs more than anything in the world, and it I didn’t think I was an artist when I first started doing it,” she began. “It was a hobby, and then it was my favorite hobby, and then it was what I would like rush home from school to do… I just want to say, when I was 12 years old, I had the luxury of spending thousands of hours working at my craft, practicing making mistakes through trial and error. That was all completely unobserved, right?”
Swift continued by addressing her fellow nominees of the night: “I’m looking out into this crowd, and I’m seeing so many ambitious, cool, smart, awesome people who have dreams. We live in this world where there’s so much immediate feedback constantly,” she said, adding, “If I had one hope for you, I would say that I hope that you get to nurture your hobby and your passion, just between you and that craft, and you give yourself time to make mistakes, give yourself time to hone your craft. I’m a firm believer that anything you feed your mind, it will internalize. Anything you feed the internet, it will attempt to kill, and I don’t want that for your dreams,” she told the audience.
She ended the speech with a note of gratitude: “Thank you for allowing me to turn my hobby into a love, into a passion, into a dream, into a career. Thank you for allowing me to have it this long. I wish you the best with everything you do.”
Swift is no stranger to historic wins, especially not at the iHeartRadio Awards. She is the most-awarded musician in the awards' 12-year history.

Taylor Swift added another major accolade to her legendary career on Thursday night, but it was her heartfelt words about Travis Kelce that truly defined the moment. The pop icon took home Pop Album of the Year at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, capping off an evening where her personal and professional worlds collided in front of a global audience.
Arriving with nine nominations, Swift once again proved her dominance in the music industry.
Her album The Life of a Showgirl has been one of the most impactful releases of the past year, driven by its emotional authenticity and connection with fans.
During her acceptance speech, she made it clear that the energy behind the project came directly from those who support her the most, singling out Kelce.
"It's so nice to be here. Raye giving this to me is so cool because I'm a massive fan of hers... and also just being here with fans, with people who clearly love music so much," she said.
As she continued, Swift reflected on the inspiration behind the album and the feeling she carried throughout its creation.
"The album, The Life of a Showgirl, was really inspired by the energy that I felt, like, looking into crowds and seeing you guys and connecting with you every single night," she added.
"And so the album came out with this energy of just feeling really happy and strong and confident and free. I want to say thank you to the fans for giving me that feeling.
"And I think that this album probably also feels very happy and confident and free because that's the way that I get to feel every single day of my life because of my fiancé, who's here tonight."
Inside the Dolby Theatre, Kelce, star of the Kansas City Chiefs, responded by applauding and mouthing "I love you," creating one of the night's most talked-about moments.
Fans turn music into milestones
Swift also took time to highlight the role her fanbase played in the album's success, particularly one standout track.
"So thank you, thanks for all the vibes. I really just wanted to say thank you, also, to iHeart and thank you to anyone who cared about "The Fate of Ophelia" because you made that into the biggest hit of my career, which is crazy at this point," Swift beamed.
"I just love my fans so much for giving me the ability to do this. I love what I do. I love that you've allowed me to do it for this long, and I just appreciate every day I get to do it. Thank you so much."
The song's success further cements Swift's ability to evolve while maintaining an unmatched connection with her audience.
Although Swift and Kelce did not walk the red carpet together, they were seated side by side during the ceremony, marking their official awards show debut as a couple.
Swift arrived in a mint-green outfit, drawing attention before the show even began.
A love that continues to blossom
Since first being linked in 2023 and announcing their engagement in 2025, Swift and Kelce have become one of the most influential couples in modern pop culture.
From her appearances at Chiefs games to his cameo during her London Eras Tour performance, their relationship continues to bridge two global audiences.
With their wedding expected later this year, Thursday night served as another reminder of their impact.
At a ceremony built around music, it was the connection between Swift and Kelce that stole the spotlight, showcasing a partnership that continues to thrive in public and clearly behind closed doors, too.
The spotlight surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift continues to intensify, and the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards have become the latest focal point of intrigue. While fans had hoped for a joint red carpet appearance from one of the world's most talked-about couples, they decided to turn up separately - adding another layer of mystery to their already closely-guarded public schedule.
As reports suggested, Swift was present at the ceremony, which took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday.
The global superstar once again dominated with nine nominations, reinforcing her status as one of the most influential artists in modern music.
The "Opalite" singer was the most nominated artist and up for some of the top prizes, including song of the year (for "The Fate of Ophelia"), best music video (for the same track), and artist of the year.
However, while the Grammy winner and Kansas City Chiefs star were both in attendance at Thursday night's show at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre, they did not make their highly anticipated red carpet debut together.
Swift walked solo, wearing a mint-green mini skirt and corset ensemble that was adorned with sparkly accessories.
But they were seated inside the theater together and snapped by photographers there, looking happy as they applauded and smiled throughout the evening.
Separate appearances fuel speculation
The couple has made numerous public appearances together over the past year; no official confirmation has been given regarding shared attendance at this particular event.
The fact that Swift and Kelce attended separately has sparked widespread discussion.
Although the couple remains engaged and firmly in the public eye, their approach to high-profile events has grown increasingly selective.
In recent months, Swift has skipped several major public appearances, opting for a more controlled presence despite her global fame.
This pattern has led many to believe that even when both she and Kelce attend the same event, they may deliberately choose not to arrive together.
Whether that is for logistical, professional, or personal reasons is yet to be determined.
Kelce's offseason schedule leaves room for flexibility, but it also includes media commitments, training preparation, and his ongoing podcast ventures. But with no NFL games taking place in March, his availability is not the issue.
Wedding plans remain tightly under wraps
Adding to the intrigue is the couple's upcoming wedding, which continues to generate significant speculation.
Sources indicate that preparations are well underway, yet details remain highly confidential, with even close circles reportedly kept in the dark. This level of privacy may explain why Swift and Kelce are choosing to limit joint public appearances.
As one of the most recognizable couples globally, even a simple red carpet walk can dominate headlines, something they may be deliberately managing ahead of their big day.
Despite the uncertainty, their relationship remains a cultural phenomenon. Since going public in 2023, Swift and Kelce have significantly influenced both the entertainment and sports worlds.
For Swift, the night represented another opportunity to celebrate a landmark year in music. Many would expect her to be keen to partner up with her fiancé, but they may have their personal reasons for arriving separately.
But for fans hoping for a defining red carpet moment, the wait continues. If recent patterns are any indication, Swift and Kelce are content doing things on their own terms - and they were not going to make an exception for the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
Taylor Swift made her first awards show appearance of 2026 at Thursday's iHeartRadio Music Awards, arriving at Los Angeles' Dolby Theatre in a carefully curated look that turned heads. But with her evolving "The Life of a Showgirl" era making her one of the world's biggest celebrities, Swift got people talking by showing off her engagement ring from fiancé Travis Kelce.
The 14-time Grammy winner stepped onto the red carpet in a mint green velvet corset and matching miniskirt by Wiederhoeft, paired with Jimmy Choo sandals in a coordinating soft tone.
Her styling choices reinforced the visual identity of The Life of a Showgirl. Swift wore her hair in a half-up style and opted for a softer beauty look than usual, swapping her signature red lipstick for a glossy pink finish.
She accessorized with Dena Kemp earrings set with bi-color tourmalines, a Nak Armstrong ear cuff, and rings from Selim Mouzannar and L'Dezen. But the most prominent piece was her engagement ring from Kelce.
The couple, who announced their engagement in August 2025, later shared their proposal photos on Instagram, confirming a relationship that has become one of the most closely followed in entertainment and sports.
While Swift did not arrive at the ceremony alongside Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star joined her inside the venue, where the pair were later seen together in the audience.
A red carpet built on legacy moments
Thursday's appearance marked another milestone in Swift's long history with the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
In 2023, she accepted the Innovator Award wearing a crystal-covered Alexandre Vauthier Couture ensemble that resembled a jumpsuit in its sculptural design.
In 2019, she leaned into her Lover era aesthetic with a Rosa Bloom romper and Sophia Webster sandals, collecting multiple awards including Tour of the Year for the Reputation Stadium Tour and Best Music Video for "Delicate."
Going further back, Swift appeared at the 2016 ceremony in a sleek black sequined Saint Laurent look with a blunt bob haircut, where she won Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for "Shake It Off," and Best Lyrics for "Blank Space."
While fashion defined the night visually, the emotional centerpiece was her engagement ring from Kelce. The old mine brilliant-cut diamond was designed by jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine in collaboration with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
Old mine-cut diamonds are known for their cushion-like shape, rounded corners, and distinctive hand-cut facets, making each stone unique.
Lubeck, a Florida-based goldsmith, has previously described her craft as deeply artisanal. "Basically, I take very small, sharp instruments and cut away bits of metal... into a particular design," she said in a 2024 interview.
The ring's yellow gold band features intricate hand engraving, reinforcing its antique-inspired character. Industry estimates suggest the custom piece, due to its size and craftsmanship, could be worth up to $1 million.
A symbol beyond luxury
Though the ring drew significant attention on the red carpet, it is widely viewed as more than a luxury statement.
Swift has often emphasized sentimental meaning in her jewelry choices, and this piece reflects a milestone moment ahead of her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce this summer.
For their engagement announcement, the couple captioned their post: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
Swift wore a striped silk Ralph Lauren dress and layered several meaningful jewelry pieces, including a Cartier watch and personalized rings.
At the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards, however, it was clear that the most significant accessory was not just the most expensive but also the most personal.
The Hannah Montana 20th anniversary isn’t the only thing Miley Cyrus is celebrating this week.
Cyrus took home the Innovator Award at the 2026 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday night (March 26). The award was presented to Cyrus by Lainey Wilson, who once worked as a Hannah Montana impersonator. Wilson called Cyrus “one of my biggest inspirations.”
“Miley Cyrus is what happens when fearlessness meets evolution,” said Wilson. “She didn’t just grow up in front of the world. She redefined herself in front of it over and over — and then over again — from breaking out of a box that people tried to put her in.”
As Cyrus walked up to the stage and was about to begin her acceptance speech, the crowd chanted her name over and over again.
“They’re gonna ‘Luda’ me,” she said, referring to the speech cut-off sound at this year’s ceremony, hosted by Ludacris. “Someone tell Luda this does not count as my 45 seconds.”
Cyrus went on to shout out the milestone Hannah Montana anniversary, saying that this week celebrating has been “a dream come true.”
“Hannah Montana inspired me so much in my own career,” Cyrus said. “I fell in love with the idea that you can create a persona that gives you the confidence and the courage to perform authentically.”
Cyrus shared what innovation means to her and that it’s about making the journey of finding herself a fun one.
“I’ve always written songs and stories because I love it, and winning awards for that work is, of course, rewarding, but it is not my compass,” she said. “Because if it was, I’m sure I’d end up very lost.”
She continued by speaking directly to her fans, with a note on how connecting with people across the world through her work is meaningful to her.
“When the win isn’t recognition, but making art that reaches the hearts of people I may never meet, it brings me a kind of joy that is deeply meaningful,” the innovator said. “Younger me is so honored to share this moment with you. I’m proud to stand here and tell you how much you mean to me.”
Cyrus concluded with a reference to Hannah Montana: “This really is the life.”
