Why Jensen Huang Reviews All Nvidia Employees’ Salaries HimselfMachine learning helps with the task, he said at a recent event hosted by the ‘All-In’ podcast.

Jensen Huang, the co-founder and CEO of Nvidia, a company at the forefront of the AI boom and currently the world's most valuable, dedicates time to personally reviewing every employee's compensation.

Huang's Compensation Philosophy

Despite his demanding schedule, Huang stated on the "All-In" podcast that he reviews all 42,000 employees' recommended compensation at the end of each cycle. He leverages machine learning and other technologies to sort through the data, and "100 percent of the time I increase the company's spend on opex."

While he dismissed rumors of a secret pool of stock options as "nuts," Huang emphasized his commitment to generously compensating all employees, believing that "If you take care of people, everything else takes care of itself." This philosophy has evidently benefited Nvidia's leadership, with recent stock price surges elevating three board members to billionaire status and placing Huang himself among the world's top 10 billionaires for the first time last fall. Huang proudly stated, "I've created more billionaires on my management team than any CEO in the world."
