This job will pay you $2,500 to watch movies at the theater this summer Excited to watch some summer movies this year? CableTV.com’s ‘Summer of Cinema’ dream job may be for you.

The summer box office has had a rough beginning, but just because Hollywood isn't earning big bucks from theaters doesn't mean you can't. CableTV.com has announced a job opening for "Chief of Cinema." Along with this impressive title for your résumé, the chosen candidate will be paid $2,500 to watch movies at a theater of their choice this summer. CableTV.com, primarily known for its reviews of cable TV and home internet deals, has also gained attention for its annual dream job openings. These include positions like the Ho Ho Holiday Dream Job, which compensates a person to view 25-holiday films and designates them the "Chief of Cheer," as well as the Summer of Cinema Dream Job.

Applications for the Summer of Cinema Dream Job are currently open, with CableTV.com seeking one individual to get paid for watching movies this summer. Here’s what you need to know to apply for the Chief of Cinema position:

You are required to watch five movies in a theater during the summer movie season, which concludes on August 31, 2024. You can select any movies—new releases are not mandatory. The only requirement is that the movies must be watched in a theater, whether it’s a chain or a local indie theater. If you watch the five movies by the deadline, CableTV.com will pay you $2,500. They will also cover the cost of your five movie tickets. To be eligible for the Chief of Cinema role, you must be a U.S. resident and at least 18 years old. Applications can be submitted online here and must be in by June 17, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. The successful candidate will be notified between June 17 and June 21. The only drawback? You'll still need to buy your own popcorn.
