MrBeast, the world’s biggest YouTube star, brings in $700 million a year, but he relies on a trusted compliance officer to control the purse strings: His mom

Jimmy Donaldson, known as "MrBeast," is a prominent YouTuber with 239 million subscribers and a multitude of successful businesses generating between $500 million to $700 million in revenue. Despite his substantial financial success, he hesitates to consider himself affluent, as he reinvests the money earned back into his ventures. Donaldson's YouTube channel, renowned for its innovative content featuring challenges and acts of charity, regularly garners over 100 million views and generates millions in ad revenue and sponsorships.

Additionally, his ventures into the packaged goods industry, particularly his line of chocolate bars called Feastables, have seen remarkable success, with the brand reaching a revenue of $100 million per year. Donaldson has also expanded into the food industry with the launch of MrBeast Burger, a delivery-only restaurant, and established two tech companies catering to content creators' needs. Despite the considerable revenue generated by his ventures, Donaldson chooses not to personally retain the profits, instead reinvesting them into his businesses, which he believes precludes him from being categorized as rich.

While this approach has been a risky one, it has proven successful as his ventures continue to grow. Although his businesses have yet to become profitable, Donaldson has sought investors and explored various opportunities for expansion, including potential negotiations with Amazon Prime Video for his own streaming show, with some reports suggesting a multimillion-dollar deal. Notably, despite the immense financial success, Donaldson's mother serves as the chief compliance officer and manages the company's finances.
