If you're looking for a new job with a six-figure salary, healthcare or tech might be your best bet.
That's according to the findings of an analysis by job-listing site Ladders.
Data scientists at the company analyzed the salaries of almost one million jobs listed on the site from January to August to compile the list. Jobs in healthcare and tech came out on top, Marc Cenedella, the founder of Ladders, told Insider.
"There are more opportunities in those fields than anywhere else," he said. "The AI boom is certainly contributing to the high number of tech jobs available. Tech companies are looking for experts in AI, cyber security, and cloud computing. All of those responsibilities might fall under job titles like software engineer and project manager. "
College-major options are linked to high-paying jobs. A recent study found that the most profitable majors were in STEM subjects.
Per Cenedella, the rise in high-paying healthcare roles could be down to the aging population and rising demand for mental health services.
"Three of the top ten jobs involve mental health services," Cenedella said. "People today are more likely to seek mental health care services than in the past. Since the pandemic, there has been an increased need for mental healthcare and the stigma surrounding seeking mental healthcare seems to be decreasing."
