A Texas-based burger chain called Trump Burger, unaffiliated with the former president, is rapidly expanding throughout the state. The chain sells sandwiches branded with the "Trump" name on the bun, along with related merchandise.
Despite the prominent use of the name, the restaurant has no connection to the former president. The company was founded by a Lebanese immigrant who arrived in the United States six years ago. The restaurants feature various Trump-related imagery, including standups, flags, drawings, and merchandise such as T-shirts and hats with both pro-Trump and anti-Biden slogans. One location even displays a plaque referencing the former president's impeachments.
The owner, Roland Beainy, has stated his admiration for the former president, citing his perceived positive impact on the economy during his first term. Due to the divisive nature of the former president's political figure, the restaurants have occasionally faced disturbances from individuals opposed to his policies, leading the owner to contact law enforcement on certain occasions. Despite this, the restaurant's Bellville location maintains a favorable rating on Yelp.
