A Florida model says she made a million dollars by age 25 and now has a fancy house thanks to the app.

Alexa Collins told U.K.’s The Sun that she dropped out of college at 21, angering her parents,

“I’m a millionaire now, I made my first (million) right before I hit a million followers, that felt pretty awesome,” she told The Sun.

Collins added she has 1.2 million followers and co-owns a four-bedroom house with a pool with her boyfriend. She started her account in 2014 and has been steadily building it.

“I started modeling when I was 18 and used the photoshoot pictures to build a social media presence. Over time, I became more of an influencer.

“When I left high school, I studied communications at college for three years but I decided to take a break year before graduating — and never went back,” she said.

Collins left college because she had already become an influencer and was making money.

“My parents were not too happy about it. Because of their generation, they didn’t understand what Instagram was or the power of social media,” she said.

“They were set on me going to school, but I told them ‘guys you have to listen to me, understand this is a new age and what I’m going to do’. I was super confident going into it and it turned out great.”

Now she has her house, travels, and gets asked out all the time by athletes and celebrities, she says, though she turns them all down.
