This week, on "Right Now with Michael Schwanke" we're talking about workplace appreciation.
We'll be looking at what makes you happy in the workplace, and we talk to Dr. Paul White, best-selling author of The 5 Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace: Empowering Organizations by Encouraging People about it.
"Unfortunately the research shows that 65 percent of the workers in North America say they haven't heard anything positive in the last year, which is an interesting finding in that at the same time, the research found that 51 percent of managers say they think they're doing a good job of showing recognition. But only 17 percent of the people working for them think they're doing a good job. So they're sort of missing one another," says White.
